ABOUT THE JOB Role: Cloud Network Engineer Location: New York (Hybrid) Job Type: Contract Job Summary: Our client is looking for a Cloud Network engineer. This will be for their Multi Cloud Direct Connect project. They will need a Senior Cloud Network Engineer. This consultant will have extensive experience in designing and implementing native cloud services across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Hands-on experience with Aviatrix implementations will be a significant advantage. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud networking, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. NYU is pushing forward with a Hybrid Multi-Cloud environment and to do so they need to build out their infrastructure to support this. NYU also purchased a solution from Aviatrix and what it is, is a cloud networking platform that provides a single solution to manage and secure your infrastructure across cloud providers. This person will be heavily involved with rolling this out and supporting it. This consultants key responsibilities will be: • Design and Implementation: Assist with the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud network architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP. • Cloud Networking: Configure and manage cloud networking components such as VPCs, VNets, Subnets, Peering, Load Balancers, Security Groups, Network ACLs, and VPNs. • Aviatrix Implementation: Design and deploy Aviatrix-based multi-cloud network architectures, leveraging the platform's advanced features to enhance cloud connectivity, security, and performance. • Performance Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud network performance, ensuring minimal latency and high throughput. • Security: Implement and maintain cloud network security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements. • Automation: Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Deployment Manager to automate network provisioning and configuration. • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex cloud network issues, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure service reliability. • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and knowledge transfer. • Collaboration: Work closely with cloud architects, developers, and other stakeholders to design and deploy cloud solutions that meet business requirements and technical standards. • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement Top Skills' Details 5 to 6 years Solid experience with Cloud Network engineering. This role is to help build out their infrastructure to support a multi-cloud environment. Have experience working on network Cloud implementation with Aviatrix. Aviatrix Implementation: Design and deploy Aviatrix-based multi-cloud network architectures, leveraging the platform's advanced features to enhance cloud connectivity, security, and performance. 3) 5- 6 years experience with Multi-Cloud environments Azure, AWS, GCP, both on premises as well as cloud and any migration experience from ‘on prem' to ‘cloud'. 5 to 6 years exp. Solid experience experience in Cloud architecture experience and a good understanding of multi-factor authentication, SSO and Azure is important as well as user experience and security are strong principles.
