You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining solid security measures to defend against cyber threats. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations while staying updated on emerging security trends and technologies. Your expertise will be crucial in mitigating risks and protecting our organization's digital assets in cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and definition of our cloud security posture, enabling cyber resilience and implementing various zero trust initiatives.
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive security controls for cloud-hosted infrastructure, applications, and data.
- Carry out regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks, and automate cloud security controls to minimize threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements relating to cloud engineering.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
- Remain updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve our security posture.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on cloud security practices.
- Collaborate with the IT infrastructure team to enhance the overall reliability and security of our cloud infrastructure.
- Work with teams and stakeholders across SitusAMC to address security concerns in the cloud.
Qualifications/ Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited college/university, or equivalent job experience.
- A seasoned professional with 5+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically at a Senior Analyst or Analyst level role or external equivalent.
- At least 3-5 years of direct relevant work experience in cloud security engineering or a similar role.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or similar are preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and their security features.
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as CSPM, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform).
- Familiarity with container security technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tooling.
- Knowledge of encryption and key management practices.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards like CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Excellent risk-based problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
