Benefits are provided in addition to the salary range. DESCRIPTION: This is a full-time position and work is performed at a customer location. The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing advanced functions of Microsoft Office 365 and/or Azure AD Premium, including security, governance, and compliance. REQUIREMENTS:
- Provide second-level support for issues regarding compute, network, and storage on AWS and Azure.
- Possesses a strong understanding of features and capabilities of the Microsoft Cloud Platform
- (security, firewalls, Redis Cache, Key Vault, Service Bus, ASR, networking, OMS, Blob Storage, Resource Groups, NSG, Application Insights, SQL Server, SQL DB, load balancers).
- Designs and implements Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) identity solutions.
- Responsible for designing solutions in Microsoft Azure per project specifications and needs.
- Drives architecture and technical discussions to lead cloud security, privacy, and compliance decisions for scale, performance, agility, and HA/DR considerations.
- Responsible for configuring and managing the customer's Azure cloud environment.
- Analyzes systems and identifies problems migrating to Azure cloud.
- Implements CI/CD-based application development methodology using tools such as Jenkins/TFS/PowerShell, as well as working with customers to ensure smooth and successful implementation, delivery, and deployment of complex solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
- Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures.
- May also design network and computer security measures.
- May research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Plans and leads major technology assignments.
- Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- May supervise others.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Requires a minimum of 9 years experience.
- Thorough knowledge of cloud and hybrid cloud-based technologies.
- Azure Administrator Associate.
- Demonstrated experience solving issues in hybrid cloud environments.
- A candidate holding a relevant Master's degree may be granted 2 years' experience credit for that extra education.
- A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years' experience credit for that extra education.
- A maximum of 1 year of experience credit may be added for a candidate holding position specific required or desired technical certifications.
