JANUS is looking for a seasoned Azure Cloud Solutions Architect to help grow our capability with our DoD clients. You will get to work on important projects, continue to grow your skills, and work with some of the most talented and impactful leaders in the industry and DoD.
- Provide technical consulting recommendations to our client and lead the cloud and data transformations
- Work in partnership with technical team, partners and clients to gather requirements and implement unique and creative solutions to modernize the workload
- Lead design and implementation of Azure Cloud solutions including infrastructure, data and application services
- Use knowledge of identity and access management in on-premises solutions and the cloud inclusive of Azure AD Connect, ADFS, and third-party identity providers
- Define and implement these innovative solutions using concepts such as infrastructure-as-code (IaC), deployment orchestration, and automation templates
- Understand ever changing government and DoD compliance requirements in order to drive successful governance strategies
- Excited by chance to help grow the capabilities at Janus, mentoring project teams and clients
- Ability to teach and influence stakeholders in the use of effective cloud solutions and best practices
Success Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field and eight years of professional experience in systems engineering
- Implement Azure Cloud infrastructure in DoD space, especially Army and Air Force
- Ability to mentor and train internal technical teams
- Comfortable in a client-facing environment and interacting with technical and business partners
- Continually learning emerging technologies, pursuing certifications, and need to enhance your cloud career
- As part of the Cloud Infrastructure must have extensive knowledge of traditional network architecture such as IP Addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and firewalls
- Expertise implementing encryption technologies (SSL, encryption, PKI)
- Possess current industry-recognized certifications including Azure Cloud Solution Architect Expert
- Holds a current Secret Clearance with willingness to upgrade to Top Secret

- Participate in the technical community, including contribution to user groups, presenting, writing blogs, Stack Overflow, etc.
- Implemented a DevOps strategy in an agile/scrum environment
- Understanding of software development patterns and practices
- Willingness to do internal training of technical teams
Target salary range: $150,000 to $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
