Job Description:

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cloud Systems Administrator to join our team in Hanover, MD

Responsibilities Included but are not limited to :

  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.

  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.

  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.

  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution in the AWS cloud.

  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.

  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.

  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.

  • Configure and manage AWS cloud environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Shall have with eight (8) years of relevant with a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Five (5) years additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Experience with planning and leading Cloud Systems Administration efforts.

  • Experience working on a cross functional team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience troubleshooting Windows and Linux Desktop and Server issues in a cloud environment.

  • Experience developing architectural/design documents and use cases.

  • Working knowledge of AWS, Docker, Git CI/CD

  • Experience utilizing CloudWatch to identify performance issues with systems.

  • Experience using configuration management tools to manage and maintain a large number of AWS EC2 instances and user workspaces

  • Experience with vulnerability mitigation and patch management for Linux and Windows environment.

  • Understanding and reviewing security vulnerability scan results.

  • Experience trouble shooting and problem solving within the AWS cloud infrastructure

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.

  • Must be a US Citizen

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate must be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer's desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
