Fitness Connection is now hiring for a Club Manager position. The Club Manager provides daily, weekly, and monthly direction for Sales and Operations Managers, Fitness Consul- tants and other hourly teammates. The CM must lead by example in creating and maintaining a strong achievement culture in his/her club and be a team player who believes in the power of changing lives through fitness.QualificationsYour Day to DayPEOPLE LEADERBUSINESSDRIVERLeads a high performing club team that maintain a focuson changing lives through FitnessPartner with their Area Manager and Club Leadership Team to ensure smooth and timely communication and execution of initiatives, systems & programsRecruits, hires and promotes sales managers, operations man- agers,fitness consultants, connection specialists, and kids club teammatesDevelops and trains sales managers, operations managers, fitness consultants, connection specialists, and kids club teammatesIdentifies high potential talentConsistently recognizes and rewards great performance Provides coaching and feedback to build competencyMaintains strong and consistent people practices with all teammates, taking appropriate action as neededMeets or exceeds targets in all club areas on a consistent basis.Ensures consistent effective communicationCascades new information & training though both event-based and ongoing methodsProvides follow up and feedback around initiatives, systems and programs to assistant club managers and hourly teammatesPartners with Area Manager to diagnose, plan, and overcome ongoing challengesPerforms as a subject matter expert, leading the team from the front as needed to drive performanceFINANCIALRESULTSCLUB STANDARDSCreate and execute proactive plans while coaching The Play every day and adjusting based on results in real timeEnsure a well-run, standard driven club through daily, weekly and monthly focus, communication and follow up onboth Sales & OperationsEnsures revenue goals are met or exceeded, while expense goals remain within budgetCreates and executes forward-looking club plans Approves allclub schedules to ensure accurate coverage andefficient use labor hoursAnalyzes business trends and data to assess and improve club performance, both operationally and financiallyLeads execution of day-to-day club operationsHolds team accountable to Fitness Connection systems and standards for both sales and operations functionsMonitors adherence to member programs Provides feedback and support around club appearance &maintenanceEnsures consistent retail program executionOffers consultation and recommendations to their managers on overcoming operations challengesREQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED required, College Degree preferred
  • For external hire, minimum of 12 months of club management with a proven record of success required, preferably in the fitness industry.
  • For internal promotion, minimum of six months as a Sales or Operations Manager with Fitness Connection; must be in good company standing and have a proven record of performance
  • Knowledge of the Fitness industry as well as the necessary business acumen of running a complete business unit [Risk, Talent, Facilities, etc]
  • Knowledge and skills in staffing with proven record of results
  • Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and able to adapt to new systems easily
  • Valid state driver's license and clean driving record is required
  • Criminal background check will be performed as a term of employment
  • Position duties require daily standing, walking, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting, and reaching
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business-related documents such as financial reports and legal documents
  • Ability to respond verbally and in writing, to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to district management and club leadership and to members of the business community
  • Fluent in written and spoken English required, addition of Spanish skills a plus
