A health services network in New York City is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Physician to join their long term care facility as a Chief Medical Officer (CMO). In this HYBRID role, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will be responsible for overseeing medical and health services at their Long-Term Care facility while also contributing to Post-Acute Care Service line. This pivotal role combines clinical leadership with administrative oversight to ensure optimal patient care and service delivery. About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday (NO CALL)
Responsibilities: The Chief Medical Officer will be responsible for:
- Oversight of medical and health services, including physician services, radiology, pharmacy, and lab services
- Implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Collaboration with system-wide leadership on clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives
- Leadership in infection control, quality assurance, and performance improvement projects
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Clinical leadership experience, with a focus on Long-term Care or Short-term Rehab
- Board Certification in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine (IM), or Family Medicine (FM)
- Valid license to practice Medicine issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED)
Desired Skills:
- Geriatric Board Certification or AMDA Certified Medical Director
- Experience in Palliative Care certification
- Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative relationships with healthcare partners
