Activities may include skincare, ambulation, bathing, dressing, exercise, hair care, mouth care, positioning, shaving, bladder and bowel care, transfers, medication reminders, and more.Please note: All PCWs and CNAs are required to work 1 weekend a month in the Respite Care Services Department at St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care.Duties and Responsibilities:Assists supervisor in providing for the personal hygiene, social and recreational needs of the Adult Day Care clients.Assists the Activity Coordinator in implementing social and recreational activities suitable to the individual needs of the clients.Performs daily tasks assisting with the nutritional needs, personal care needs, and ambulation as designated by the supervisor.Gives individual attention to clients as needed.Takes daily attendance and meal counts, reports special meal needs to the supervisor, and completes forms and reports, and submits them to the supervisor as required.Attends staff meetings on a weekly basis, makes oral or written reports identifying any client problem areas, (social, recreational, spiritual, psychological, or emotional), and/or the improvement of services. Also attends and participates in professional seminars, workshops, and all staff meetings.Assists clients to different parts of St. Ann Center as needed.Participates in Bi-annual CPR recertification and other in-services as required.Maintains a neat and orderly environment in the unit.Reports to the supervisor any needed supplies.Charts on clients as directed and reports any changes in client conditions.Oversees the volunteers as needed/requested.QualificationsEducation/Training: Preferred high school graduate, CPR training, CNA certification (preferred), Valid driver's license (preferred) Minimum of 1year experience, with children and 1year experience with adultsSkills/Abilities:Excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work with all kinds of people in situationsCommunicationCompassionateDependabilityPatienceSafety- orientatedSt. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care is an equal opportunity employer.
