Now Hiring Full Time CNAs on all shifts: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7pmSchedules to fit your life!The ideal CNA candidate will: •Have an active Certified Nurse Assistant license for the state of New York •Possess at minimum, a high school diploma •Have a strong comprehension of the English language which includes reading, writing, and speaking fluently •Have experience working as a geriatric CNA, which is highly desirable •Have prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility (preferred, but not required) •Experience with SigmaCare (preferred, but not required) Required Qualifications: •An active Certified Nurse Assistant license for the state of New York •CPR certification What We Offer: •Referral bonuses •An opportunity to express your talents and lead a high performing team •Free hot meal for each shift worked •Membership in the 1199 union About the position: Under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse, the CNA is an important member of the nursing team in assisting and supervising residents in all activities of daily living. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: •Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, feeding, transferring, grooming, mouth care, nail care, and cleanliness of resident's unit, etc. •Identifying any changes in the resident's condition and reporting to the nurse •Acknowledging and responding to the resident's calls •Building relationships with and collaborating with resident, families, and members of the healthcare team when planning, implementing, and evaluating care •Verbalizing, understanding and demonstrating ability to provide Comfort Care including anticipating residents' needs, gaining knowledge about the individual's important life events, cultural background, and daily routines, providing comfort when needed, and using a person-centered approach when planning the resident's care •Individualizing care considering residents who have impairments including but not limited to visual, auditory or speech impairments •Providing a safe environment and demonstrating Safe Practice including performing rounds and observing and supervising residents, demonstrating safe and proper use of transfer and other equipment, and reporting resident incidents/occurrences to appropriate personnel. •Performing vital signs, height, weight measurements as well as other clinical competencies including hand washing, transfers, V/S monitoring, personal care, turning and positioning, ambulation, skin care, colostomy care, etc. Learn more about life at Cobble Hill:
