We are a Central Pennsylvania based Non-profit Hospice & Post-Acute Healthcare Organization specializing in home-centered care and we are seeking a talented Full Time Certified Nurse Assistant who will direct personal care, assistance with ADL's and homemaking services according to the Hospice Plan of Care for our home and facility based patients throughout our service area. This CNA opportunity will provide service primarily to our patients and families in Schuylkill County and surrounding areas.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistants certification/competency as obtained through successful completion of an approved PA training program. Satisfactorily completes the hospice skills check and competency test.
  • Experience in Certified Nursing Assistant or related field preferred.
  • Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands. Possesses ability to work non-judgmentally with patients/families of various cultural, religious, racial, socio-economic and lifestyle backgrounds.
  • Good verbal and written skills required.
  • Own transportation with valid driver's license.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communication.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing.
  • Ability to deal effectively with stress.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow Certified Nursing Assistants Plan of Care including: bath, hair, nail, skin care, turning, changing of diaper, transfers, assistance with ambulation, etc.
  • Follows universal precautions with all patients.
  • Complies with scheduled times for patient visits. Assignments are organized and completed on time.
  • Changes in patient condition are accurately reported to RN in a timely manner
  • Provides respite for family.
  • Attends Hospice training as required by Supervisor.
  • Keeps accurate patient records as per Care Plan.
  • Keeps accurate mileage and daily visit records.
  • Assist the patient with well-marked, pre-poured medications
