JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists the professional staff. Delivers direct care to patients as directed by the RN or LPN. Always maintains patient comfort and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide nursing care by a resident are plans and procedures and follow departmental policies and procedures
* Deliver direct care to patients through patient care such as bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, etc.
* Follow directions and instructions given by the RN or LPN in charge.
* Maintain patient comfort and safety as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards
* Assist residents with daily tasks and take care of personal needs of residents
* Additional tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
* Current New York State Nurses Aide Certification required
* Experience in long-term care preferred
* Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
* Strong customer service skills and compassion
* Basic computer knowledge, PCC e-MAR experience preferred
* Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
* Minimum 18 years of age
