We offer competitive pay, flexible hours, benefits and other perks.MAJOR WORK ACTIVITIES :Provides personal care and assists with ADLs.Performs daily tidying and upkeep of the resident rooms.Provides assistance or guidance to residents for any/all appropriate activities.Monitors and reports any change in physical or mental health of the residents.Serves meals and assists residents during the dining activity.Delivers meal trays to residents who are unable to join us in the dining room.Participates in and assists with resident-centered activity program.Provides other personal services to residents under Supervisor In Charge direction.Under Title 10 NCAC 42D.1410 I 1-13, at least a CNA certification is needed to perform the following taskAssist with feeding residents with swallowing difficultiesAssist with gait training using assistive devicesAssist with or perform range of motion exercisesEmpty and record drainage of catheter bagBowel and bladder retraining to regain continenceCollect urine and fecal specimensUse of physical or mechanical devices attached to or adjacent to the resident which restrict movement or access to one's own body used to restrict movement or enable or enhance functional abilitiesNon-sterile dressing proceduresForce and restrict fluidsCare for non-infected pressure ulcersTake and record temperature, pulse, respiration, routine height and weightApply or assist with applying ace bandages, TEDs and binders for stable residents RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to operate office equipment, including but not limited to the copier and fax machines, and all appropriate nursing equipment.Must be able to work in a well-lighted, office area and/or neighborhood.May stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the workday.Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds.Must be able to read and write the English language.Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience dealing with the elderly population. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.Licensure/ Certification: CNA: Must be a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA I)of an accredited program and possess a current nurse aide certificate for the state of North Carolina with no substantial findings.(or)PCA: A completed 80 hours Personal Care Assistant Program certificate or must obtain within six months of employmentExperience: CNA: At least have some experience in CNA work.
