More information here.WORK SCHEDULE90% FTE (36 hours per week), Night shiftDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION4MB is the first innovate in-patient unit in the UW Medicine system, at the forefront of virtual care by integrating the latest technologies, allowing us to explore new virtual care initiatives.20-bed in-patient acute care unit with telemetry monitoring capability, specializing in, but not limited to, planned spine surgery patients and other planned surgical cases.Staff in this unit should be flexible and adaptable to all new technologies, and assigned to brand new unit (4MB).PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDirect and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered NurseAssist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eatingMaintain a safe environment of carePatient transportationPrepare patients for surgeryPerform non-invasive lab proceduresTransport equipment and suppliesAssist with treatmentsPerform various clerical tasksTake vital signsREQUIREMENTSCurrent, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care in an acute care health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience.Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card.ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTERAs the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
