Individuals may work in the on-site classroom lab under the direction of the program lead teacher to supervise students as they practice clinical skills. Individuals may also supervise students for a full day at an off-site clinical placement long term care facility.Qualifications:* Candidates must first be approved by the CNA Compliance Nurse by submitting the following information:* Nurse Assistant Primary Didactic Instructor Qualifications Form (emailed to you by Sussex Tech once you apply)* Resume with contact names and telephone number or email of former employers* Negative results of either a 2-step ppd or single serum Quantiferon within the past 12 months* Evidence of one-year long-term nursing experience* Evidence of one year teaching or Train the Trainer certificate* Copy of a government issued photo identification* Copy of current professional licensure* Copy of current BLS certificate* Registered nurse experience for three (3) years* CPR certification required* Able to perform essential job functions on-site or in a long-term care facility* Clinical teaching experience preferred* CPR instructor certification preferred* Able to work flexible hours* Excellent organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills* History of acceptable attendance record and proficient performancePerformance Responsibilities:* Support students in on-site clinical lab to practice and test for CNA skills or supervise students at off-site long-term care facility clinical experience* Work under the direction of the lead classroom CNA teacher* Stay updated on trends in nursing techniques and protocols* Communicate with lead teacher about classroom procedures and teaching strategies* Supervise CNA students* Other duties as assigned.Terms of Employment: Clinical Lab Assistant is a part-time at-will position. The position is paid on an hourly basis and employees sign up for hours they are available to work as they are posted by the lead teacher.Salary and Benefits: This is not a benefit eligible position.
