CNC MachinistGrand Haven, MI$22/hr-$26+/hrJob Description: CNC Machinists to set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC Machining Centers to ready machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. May assign personnel to various duties. All shift are open as of now minimal overtime required. Must be able to set up the machine from scratch and have experience doing fixture changes and basic preventative maintenance.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSets up and operates CNC machines on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control dataStudies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirementsDetermines material and all tooling necessary for subsequent fabricationWorks directly with production and engineering to layout process required to manufacture part and/or assemblyStarts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance features and adjusts machine controls or control media as requiredConfers with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve fabrication or assembly problemsCalculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth and angel of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control mediaSelects holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to meet production specificationInstalls, adjusts, changes, and aligns tooling and equipment to ready operations for productionAdditional Skills & Qualifications:2 years of CNC Machinist experience with metalsSet up, Start up, and operate CNC Machines - both Mills and Lathes (mostly Mills)Change out fixturesWork with toolingAbout Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
