The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have a willingness to learn, is able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to develop & maintain relationships.How You'll Make an ImpactLearn mechanical principles of Praxis products and manufacturing to become technical expert/resource on Praxis parts and products fabricated in houseManufacture parts by using industry-standard CNC machining techniques and practices such as drilling, grooving and cutting, facing, profiling, pocketing, turning, knurling, and threadingObtain and record measurements using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, and height gagesManufacture Particular Sinter Form (PSF) parts using CNC Lathes and Vertical Machining CentersSet up CNC production machinesComplete set-up sheetsIdentification of irregularities and recommend process improvementsRecord production resultsReplace worn toolsSupport production operations to meet scheduled client commitments Conduct final inspections in support of manufacturing with high quality and efficiency, meeting all production deadlinesRegularly maintain production and escalate any issues for resolutionAccurately complete all required record sheetsMaintain compliance with Praxis' Quality Management SystemResponsible for ensuring equipment is clean and orderlyEnsure compliance with OSHA guidelines and applying best practices for on-the-job safety in a production environmentAdhere to quality assurance procedures and processes while maintaining an orderly production facilityMaintain a neat and orderly production facilityWhat You Must Bring to This RoleHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experienceMachine trade or technical school certificationDemonstrated ability to read and interpret documents including maintenance instructions, procedures, and manualsDemonstrated success working with technical/mechanical devicesProven ability to operate with computers, microscopes, and other toolsExperience in production operations, safety, and security protocolsA history of excellence in communication and active listeningProven success working independently and in a team environmentDemonstrated comfort with basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and roundingDemonstrated comfort with both verbal and written communicationExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build personal and team-based relationships with all levels of associates -Comfort with basic computer applications and data entryProven ability to calmly transition between multiple and changing prioritiesAbility to work production shift scheduleDemonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environmentAbility to use a forklift with proper safety protocolWorking Conditions & Physical EffortsWork is performed in a Production environmentMay be required to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand or sit for a prolonged period of timeVisual functions being those of near vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusTalking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with leadership & clientsFinger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or operate equipmentLow exposure to physical riskPraxis is an equal opportunity employer.DepartmentManufacturingEmployment TypeFull-TimeMinimum ExperienceMid-levelCompensation18 - 22/hr
