The position requires employees to maintain quality and safety standards, accurate time and record keeping, and demonstrate cleanliness and organization. - 3rd Shift Hours: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am (10% shift differential added to the hourly rate)
Benefits:Healthcare, Vision, Dental, Quarterly Bonus, 401K Match, PTO, Company HolidaysDuties• Must have the ability to understand quality requirements for machined components.• Perform CNC machine geometry offsets to bring part within specification. • Capable of starting/restarting CNC equipment from stop, powered off state or fault recovery.• Perform routine tool changes. • Understand and demonstrate tool selection via vending machine and tool crib.• Read and interpret medium to complex blueprints and drawings.• Read a micrometer, dial caliper, and demonstrate the ability to use and set master'' indicator micrometer.• Effectively use Oasis vision System for part inspection when available and instructed.• Perform component visual inspections to ensure workmanship and parts are free of contamination. • Conduct dimensional inspections using appropriate gages and fill out parts inspection log sheets. • Read and understand a Job Traveler. This includes, but is not limited to, rate, quantity, revision level, part number and alternate part number, and sequence of operation.• Populate daily production boards annotated with output, quality, and safety metrics.• Starting and ending job time keeping from the Job Traveler at the clock emulator. • Use and communicate proper techniques for go/no go gauging, pins, thread rings, and plugs.• Complete In-process inspection reports accurately. Notify Supervisor or set-up person of out of spec conditions.• Maintain clean and organized gage tables and work area. This includes wiping down machines following Chips' guidelines and mopping floors at the end of each shift. • Use scales to weigh and count production pieces. • Pull chips when required or instructed and place in proper material location.• Check and record Heat Lot numbers. • Ability to identify cycle time of parts being run and be able to calculate production rate.• Employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.Education DegreeHigh School Diploma or GEDRequired ExperienceTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Must have at least 2 years of working CNC experience.
- Possess the ability to read a limited number of two and three-syllable words, as well as recognizing similarities and differences between words and series of numbers. Must have the ability to print and speak simple sentences in English.
- Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the applications of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gages, plug and attribute gages.
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Employee must have the skills to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
