- Paid WEEKLY
- $15hr - $25/hr based on experience and/or qualifications
CNC Machine Operator Essential Duties & Responsibilities The CNC Machine Operator tends to the fabricating machine to cut, shape and bend structural plates by performing the following duties:
- Programs CNC machine to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. These CNC Machines include Burn Table, Angle/Beam Line, Wheel-a-brator and Coper.
- Load CAD drawn CNC programs with job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction.
- Load and unload structural steel from machine with overhead crane.
- Remove burrs from parts. Clear scrap shavings and debris from machine when required.
- Package parts for delivery or pick up.
- The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
- Minimum of three months' related experience and/or training.
- Must have ability to read and understand detailed shop drawings.
- Must have ability to perform basic math functions.
- Must have good oral/written communication skills.
- Must have basic computer skills.
Physical Demands
- Must have ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs. frequently
- Considerable amounts of standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
- Exposed to temperature fluctuations and a noisy work environment.
- All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
