CNC Machine Operator
: Job Details :

Position Summary:Responsible for the efficient operation and primary maintenance of the machine in which they are assigned. Machines which require operators include but are not limited to: edgebander, beam saw/horizontal panel saw, dowel inserter, hinge inserter, CNC router and v-groover. Machine operators should be meticulous by nature, able to multi-task and have the ability to foresee issues and provide solutions before they happen.Work Hours:Average of 50 hours per week and weekends may be required. Ability to work overtime. Start time 6:00 am; finish time 4:00 pm (subject to change based on job need).Required education and experience:High School Degree or GEDMinimum of one year's employment with Adams Group in the manufacturing setting or verifiable equivalent experience with another millwork companyMechanically inclinedKnowledge of calipersBasic hand tool knowledge and experienceMust be able to read, interpret, and fully understand blueprints, drawings and cut listsUnderstands the cabinet design to install hardwareStrong ability to be self-motivated to ensure all work is completed quickly and timelyHigh attention to detailAbility to work at a fast paceEssential functions:Ensure machine is properly set up and producing the quality of parts expectedMaintain all materials needed to successfully operate machinePerform routine and periodic maintenanceAbility to reasonably diagnose and articulate issues with machineAbility to use the computer as trained for specific machinesPerform milling, turning, taping and all saw operationsReport all abnormalities affecting the quality of parts or overall machine operationAssists in keeping the plant cleanProblem SolverClean and neat appearancePerform job in cost-effective mannerPositive attitude toward personal, department, and company goalsRespect for fellow team members and customersAlways perform job safely including wearing safety glasses and ask for help with liftingOpen line of communicationTeam playerOn time and present for work dailyTake responsibility for getting the work doneWilling to share in any overtimeOther duties as assignedPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
