CNC Machine Operator
2nd shift, Monday - Friday 4:30 PM - 5:00 AM

Responsibilities include the set up and operation of CNC and manual machine tools. You will perform progressive machining operations while working under minimal direction with a heavy emphasis on machine set up.
* Plan or verify operation to be performed and material to be used.
* Set up all tooling with appropriate stops, clamps, and fixtures.
* Set up and operate CNC, lathe &/or vertical machine tools to make parts per engineering specifications.
* Load material into machine utilizing overhead crane and secure to ensure safe machining on forgings that can exceed 100,000lbs using various lifting apparatus.
* Calculate chain and strap adjustments to ensure the safe lifting and transporting of parts.
* Monitor run to ensure parts are being produced to specification.
* Use measuring devices and blueprints/engineering drawings to inspect parts for tolerance.
* Visually inspect surface for appearance and non-conformities which may require repair.
* Complete the required documentation and reports at the completion of the job.
* Critically evaluate and contribute to improving the manufacturing process.
* Maintain proper coolant ratios and levels and perform routine maintenance
* Deburr parts when necessary
* Ability to run more than one machine maintaining run times as required
* Provide guidance or training for less skilled machinists.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have an impressive attendance record and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
* High school diploma or GED
* Basic math and Blueprint reading
* Prior machining experience
* Basic computer skills
Willing to train entry level candidates providing they demonstrate willingness to work and ability to learn new skills and grow with company.

Position requires working in production areas while forklifts, overhead cranes and related equipment is in use. On occasion while performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to heat (air temperatures that reach over 100 degrees F). The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions, in wet and/or humid conditions, or near fumes, airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals. When in the area of production noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Additional Requirements:
Must be authorized to work anywhere in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Ability to pass a lift evaluation (up to 65 lbs.) pre-employment.
