CNC Machinist – Day, Night, & Weekend Shifts

Primus Aerospace is a leading manufacturing partner to aerospace, defense & space OEMs / Primes & Tier I suppliers. The company specializes in producing high-tolerance, complex geometry parts; machined out of standard and exotic metals. Primus works directly with all major aerospace manufacturers (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop) to provide components to mission critical civilian and defense programs.

We have positions available for:

1st Shift: Mon-Thurs: 6:00am-3:30pm

2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs: 3:30pm-3:00am (10% shift differential)

3rd Shift: Fri, Sat, Sun: 6:00am-6:30pm (work 36 hours/get paid for 40)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines from provided work instructions
• Verify dimensional characteristics of parts
• Meet expected cycle times and production schedule
• CNC Operator experience: mill turn and lathe
• GD&T print reading
• Ability to do machine set-ups, is a plus
• Indicate vices
• Coordinate x, y, z
• Verify dimensional characteristics of parts

Requirements

• 4+ years of CNC Operator experience
• 1 + years of set-up experience
• Read blueprints and use hand tools
• Knowledge of machining principles
• Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, metrology
• Experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing lean manufacturing techniques
• Prioritize tasks and maintaining production goals
• Self-starter with a good attitude
• Attention to detail and a strong desire to produce quality products
• Previous experience in Aerospace or defense machining environment preferred
• Ability to obtain secret security clearance highly desirable
