Essential Job Results: Capable of writing basic programs and program in either G-code or Mazatrol Capable of basic machining skill including Bridgeport and 3 axis CNC, manual lathe, and surface grinder Prepares machine for production by selecting and positioning proper tools, stops, guides, turntables, and speeds and feeds Produces parts by locating and marking reference points on workpiece with rule, compass, template, etc.; positioning or aligning workpiece against stops and guides or with tool; operating equipment Identifies problems through use of basic quality control knowledge and use of measuring tools. Possesses working knowledge of machinist handbook Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs Understands geometric tolerancing, standard blueprint projections and views, basic sound machining principles, and possesses knowledge of how a machine should operate Capable of identifying problems with the selected machining process either fixturing/tooling or machine related Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs Documents actions by completing production logs, quality logs, time cards, set up sheets Operates, promotes and sustains a safe workplace Updates Manufacturing Order/Traveler information in pursuit of refined documentation for each job from both a sequencing framework, but more importantly, accurate set-up and cycle times Aware of cycle times and financial goals for each job Supports TPM and 5S programs Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
