CNC MachinistAll candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.Must have 10 years of experience Programming, Editing and Running a Mazak 5 axis& work in Brookshire, TX OnlyJob summary: The CNC Machinist is responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality metal parts and pieces. The CNC Machinist should be able to perform complex programming during production, set up equipment, maintain equipment, and troubleshooting of the machine. The CNC Machinist will report directly to the Production Manager.Essential Responsibilities:Read fabrication drawings and interprets drawing instructions to set up computer program, designate proper cutting tools, and select accurate cutting speeds per projectRead, interpret and apply customer specifications ensuring engineering principles and requirements are metExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsPerform complex programming, set up and operation of CNC machines for performance efficiencyUse appropriate cutting tools and materials to produce high-quality parts while reducing product wasteMust closely monitor machines, tool vibrations, and product cuts while in productionProperly set cutting speeds and utilizing correct programs when cutting and finishing productsVisually inspects parts for defects according to inspection standards and client specificationsEfficiently works multiple jobs, prioritizes each according to production deadlines, and transitions from one job to another based on production demands or direction from the shop managerOrganizes and maintains a count of plate material by job to ensure enough plate material is on site and available for upcoming jobsProvide identification of completed materials according to cut stages and job number to help production team organize and transfer product movement and useMazak 5 Axis CNC machine experience preferredOther duties as assigned Skills/Qualifications:High School Diploma10+ years' experience in CNC machiningSolid experience with 5-Axis milling machines strongly preferredAbility to read and interpret fabrication drawings and check dimensionsAbility to use a measuring tape and accurately measure material dimensions according to fabrication drawings and program settingsWorks with precision measuring instruments, calculators, computers, and other electronic equipment efficientlySafety focusedStrong organizational skills with great attention to detailSensitive to deadlines, ability to multi-taskAbility to work as a team and working towards accomplishing tasks as a teamUphold Mueller Environmental Designs Core Values Physical Requirements and other items to communicate: The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
