This role involves machine setup, operation, and first article inspections to support our high-quality standards and production goals. - Perform machine setup, operation, and first article inspections, ensuring adherence to quality and production standards.
- CNC Turning experience is preferred. CItizen Swiss CNC or Miyano experience a plus but will consider all Lathe experience.
- Troubleshoot maintenance and quality issues, supporting efficient machine performance.
- Collaborate closely with the team to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
- Communicate any problems or procedural issues and proactively suggest improvements.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the team and workflow.
Specific Duties:
- Execute setup and first article inspections with precision.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure ongoing reliability.
- Assist in training other machinists to uphold quality and production standards.
- Prioritize production tasks based on management directives.
- Operate inspection tools, including microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators, to verify accuracy.
- Complete and verify all necessary paperwork accurately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a CNC machining environment.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team.
- Skilled in following directions and performing complex tasks with precision.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
