You will design work holding/fixturing, research and select appropriate tooling, and program Doosan 4th-axis lathes and 4th-axis mills to produce a variety of parts in support of engineering prototypes and manufacturing production. The ideal candidate will also usher in the use of automated manufacturing practices such as robotics programming.

  • Design fixturing for simply and repeatably holding complex geometries during machining
  • Select tooling for accurately, reliably, and cost-effectively cutting parts
  • Set up machining projects including tool touch-offs, work coordinate probing, first run verification, and reliability rewrites
  • Coordinate closely with engineering to steer new and existing projects towards designs that are more manufacturable: higher quality, faster lead-time, lower cost
  • Help facilitate the integration of automated manufacturing solutions
  • Operate and maintain CNC machines, bandsaws, forklifts, and various power tools for material prep
  • Ensure product conformance using inspection equipment, gauges, and quality control procedures, making any adjustments as necessary.
