Location: Graniteville, Vermont, USAPosition: Full TimeTitle: CNC Operator, 2nd shiftEntry Date: September 2024JOB SUMMARY:Rock of Ages, a division of Polycor, has an immediate opening for a CNC Operator, 2nd shift. The CNC Operator sets up and operates stone-cutting machinery. Duties include studying blueprints, loading/unloading of parts and programs, and performing regular maintenance on their machinery.Job ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for daily production of multiple CNC machines by means of loading/unloading parts, part inspection, troubleshooting, and routine machine maintenance.Read and interpret blueprints & drawings.Must have excellent basic math/shop math skills. Familiar with metric/standard conversion.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Knowledge of basic measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, tape measures, indicators, and gauges.Maintain quality and safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.Other duties as assigned to meet operational and production objectives.OTHER CAPABILITIESPossess manual dexterity and an eye for detail.Be able to lift 50 lb. with varying frequency.Must have knowledge of mathematics and mechanics as well as respect for safety precautions.The goal is to ensure effective production and optimize procedures.Ability to work with minimal supervision and familiarity with machining concepts, procedures and practices.Must be willing to work overtime hours, as needed.Working knowledge of Alpha-CAM and SolidWorks are a plus.NOTE: Any experience deemed equivalent will be considered.
