Description
Titles depend on experience and knowledge related to various CNC/Laser/Bending machines.
Hours vary from week to week. First shift is typically5AM-3:30PMor5AM-1:30PM Monday through Friday. Occasional mandatory Saturdays. You find out every Thursday what your upcoming week's hours are and if you are required for Saturday overtime.
2 weeks of paid vacation + 1 week of paid sick leave + 10 paid holidays!

SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for setting up and operating a CNC to cut metal materials to specified dimensions or to perform operations involving angular or circular cuts, welds or bends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Selects and uses materials to avoid excessive scrap.
Utilizing shop drawings, layout markings, etc., operates machine using both prewritten programs and on-console edits and programs.
Performs all set-ups for CNC.
Assists engineering in part design and modification.
Performs routine preventative maintenance procedures according to company procedure on machines, tooling and fixturing devices.
Performs basic functions on the ERP computer system (clocking in and out, work order maintenance)
Keeps work area neat and clean according to company standards.
Works safely and follows all company rules and procedures.
Provides back support in other departments as production requirements fluctuate.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required with 3-6 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with General CNC control interfaces are required.
Metal working experience.
Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
Working, functional knowledge of computers in order to utilize manufacturing software required.
Able to effectively communicate, read and write in English. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Strong mechanical inclination, high attention to detail and above average problem-solving and math skills
Able to be flexible when customer demands require it. Hours vary, typically ~5:00am – 3:30pm
