Description Join the Special-Lite team to help us drive growth through relationships as strong and dependable as our products! As a CNC Programmer / Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting-up, and operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) routers and other CNC machinery in our Benton Township Production facility. Your Blueprint for Success:
- Program with Excellence - Perform CNC programming for routers and other machinery, transfer product design criteria into machine requirements and then transfer engineering drawings and CAD files into CAM software.
- Customer Focus - Work with customers and vendors to determine product specifications in order to evaluate products according to expectations and quality standards.
- Teamwork - Collaborate with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules to facilitate production processes.
- Inspect to perfect - Assist with inspection, qualification and validation of tools, fixtures, etc., using basic inspection equipment. Analyze inspection reports to determine adherence to drawings, specifications, and processing procedures.
- Safety First - Ensuring all work is done following our safety guidelines.
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience; with a minimum of two (2) years of CNC experience and machining experience in a tool shop or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience using Mastercam and WB SysTech software applications.
- Able to work from written or verbal instructions, detailed engineering drawings and be knowledgeable CNC operations
- Possess the ability to run programs which have been created on the applicable machines.
- Must be detail oriented, able to work independently as a problem-solver and have the ability to finish projects in a timely manner.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers via verbal or written correspondence.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Skills:
- Associate degree in precision machining, technologies, or relevant experience
