Our client, a leader in the sensing solutions manufacturing,is seeking qualified CNC Operators to join their team. As a CNC Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the machining team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, andthe ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
**Job Title:** CNC Operator
**Location:** Lawrenceville, GA
**Pay Range:** $22 per hour
**What's the Job?**
+ Plans machining by studying work orders, verifying blueprints, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
+ Sets-up lathes/mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving first part.
+ Sets-up lathes/mills by adjusting collets, three-jaw chucks, and/or vise jaws, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, and stock pushers or pullers.
+ Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
+ Maintains specifications by observing CNC tools, sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
+ Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
+ Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
+ Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
+ Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
+ Assists mechanics and machinists in repair work.
+ Performs ancillary duties as required.
**What's Needed?**
+ 2-4 years previous experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ HSD or GED required.
+ Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
+ Be able to work overtime if required. (including weekends).
+ Basic skills in reading blueprints and basic math skills.
+ Basic knowledge of machine tool repair and maintenance preferred.
+ Fundamental knowledge of metal cutting and machining practices.
