SNA - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - California)

A BRIEF OVERVIEWThe CNC Programmer II develops CNC programs to support production and prototype machining of orthopedic implants. The main CNC platform is CNC Swiss Lathes and the main programming software is Esprit CAM. The CNC programmer will use customer furnished drawings and CAD models, along with engineering specifications, to develop CNC programs. They will ensure the CNC programs successfully produce parts to defined dimensions and are within tolerance. They will assist manufacturing in troubleshooting when quality issues arise.WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Set-up machines and run prototypes or initial parts to support New Product Introduction to validate the CNC program
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in CNC programs and tooling
  • Support continuous improvement projects centered around machining
  • Interpret blueprints with GD&T
  • Create cutting tooling lists and ensures the list and notes in the CNC programs match
  • Work closely with the Toolroom Attendant to ensure the proper and most efficient tooling is being utilized
  • Create set-up work instructions
  • Provide technical support as needed
  • Generates solutions, translate concepts, and information into real and practical applications
  • Update CNC programs, set-up instructions, cutting-tool list and other documentations related to the manufacturing process using company standards
  • Create/edit programs to ensure processes are complete and quality of parts are met
  • Design fixtures for manufacturing production and prototype using the software SolidWorks
  • Assist with maintaining CNC program directory up to date
  • Provide CNC Programming Training to CNC Operators and other Programmers
  • Perform changes per engineer change request (ECR) and engineer change order (ECO) process work instructions
  • Create tool paths from prints and models
  • Evaluate jobs for correct method of manufacturing
  • Program jobs to CAD file or print

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)
  • Associates (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience programming, tooling, and operating manual and CNC equipment (Required)
  • Experience programming 4 & 5-Axis CNC Lathes, Mills, and Nakamura Mill-Turns (Required)
  • Experience programing using Espirit CAM software (Required)

PAY RATE​

For positions located in California, pay for this job type falls within the following range and varies based on scope and complexity of job responsibilities.

$32.69 - $52.21
