Position SummaryITT Goulds Pumps is among the most widely recognized and respected brands in the global pump industry, serving customers in the oil and gas, mining, power generation, chemical, pulp and paper, and general industrial markets. As the only manufacturer to make digital monitoring standard on every process pump, ITT Goulds Pumps continues to lead the industry in both mechanical pump design and the adoption of smart technologies.ITT Goulds Pumps is looking for a CNC Programmer to join their team in Seneca Falls, NY. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing software programs that direct CNC (computer numerically controlled) machines to cut and shape metal/material to produce components for industrial pump applications. In addition, the CNC Programmer will be using 3-dimensional computer designs (CAD models) and/or blueprints that define the configuration of the required component. Furthermore, the ideal candidate should have strong expertise in software programs to generate the program codes that guides CNC machines to perform machining operations, which result in precise finished components - efficiently and safely. The CNC Programmer will use MasterCam software or other CAM software to generate program codes that control the operations of a CNC machines, such as mills and lathes and mill turns.
Essential ResponsibilitiesMust be able to program CNC equipment such as Horizontal and Vertical Lathes, Horizontal and Vertical Milling Centers, Multi-Axis Lathes and Machining Centers and other accessory equipment as needed.Review blueprints and be able to program from CAD models away from the machine, offline using CAM software.Exposure to Cero Parametric 4.0 and Global Vault a plus.Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly.Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.Analyze work orders for requirements to produce product efficiently.Mastercam experience preferred.Macro programming experience a plus. Good level of math skills i.e. algebra. Must be able to perform standard shop computations (applying geometry and trigonometry) relating to angular and linear dimensions of work, tooling, and speeds and feeds of machining.Make calculations to determine where materials should be cut.Define the most optimized sequence of machining steps.Create setup sheets and tool lists.Decide optimized tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures to be used.Run simulation tests and collect data as required.Conduct quality testing and correct/improve program code to increase efficiency, quality, and safety.Communicate with other programmers, shop floor management, machinists/setup operators and engineering to achieve solutions to both capacity planning and quality level.Other duties as assigned.Position RequirementsHigh School diploma or GED or trade school certification is required.Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining and programming experience.Must have strong knowledge of CNC machines.Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprintsMust be able to read, write and understand English, perform simple shop math calculations, and follow verbal and written instructions accurately.Must have Lean/setup reduction and mistake proofing experience. Familiar with Creo Pro E and other design software.Must have general computer experience. Equal Pay Act RangeAnnual Salary Range $72,600 to $108,800 Plus Benefits and Incentive Plans.
