The CNC Programmer plans numerical control program to control contour path machining of metal parts on automatic machine tools: Analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates, according to the knowledge of machine shop processes, part specifications, and machine capabilities
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
- Programming new jobs per Planning & Engineering procedure.
- Verifying programs with tool path verification programs to minimize programming errors.
- Updating existing jobs programs to incorporate process improvements.
- Working with Manufacturing Engineering to develop Part Methods to minimize changes and shorten lead times thru production.
- Working with Engineering & Customer to resolve drawing issues & manufacturing problems.
- Supporting the manufacturing floor to minimize downtime, solve problems, and optimize cycle times.
- Working with machinists to solve manufacturing problems.
- Evaluating and solving problems on the production floor.
Education and Experience:
- High School or Engineering certificate from a college or trade school preferred.
- 5 years of experience in CNC programming using Mastercam.
- Experience programming turn/mill centers and 5 axis programming is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of machines and equipment required to fabricate parts from simple to complex..
- Computer skills including CAD/CAM knowledge and experience.
- Ability to produce Customer macro programming as required.

Salary Range (annual): $76000 - $80000
