Job Details

SUMMARY:

As our lead CNC Machinist, you will set up all CNC Machines. Make adjustments to the programs as needed for new jobs. Help lead and instruct junior machinist. Run a variety of parts in Brass. This is a shop floor position with an emphasis on getting and keeping our CNC shop running.

MUST HAVES:

  • Ability to set up CNC Machines (Two-Axis Lathes, HAAS Mill Machines, ACUMA LT2000, 8 Axis Lathes, Sugami Swiss Turning Lathes)
  • Must be able to set up CNC Swiss turning machines and multi-tasking CNC lathes
  • Hands-on experience with Setting up and Programming CNC Machines.
  • Ability to lead and mentor other machinists.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Programming experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up CNC Machines
  • Leadership of less experienced CNC operators and set-up personnel.
  • Management of programs and other data such as offsets and tool data are essential.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10 Years of experience setting up CNC Machines
  • 10 years' experience setting up a variety of CNC machine tools such as lathes, multi-tasking lathes, swiss lathes, and machining centers.
  • Must be able to do trigonometry and shop math.
  • Must be able to select and or adjust speeds, feeds, and tools to get desired results.
  • Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and use correct measuring instruments and techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make quick decisions on the floor.
  • Good computer literacy is important. Good attendance and punctuality are essential.
