Job Description:
Job Title: CNC Swiss Programmer Job DescriptionSupervise daily operations of the production team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met. Oversee the operation of Swiss turning machines, guiding best practices. Lead Programmer for Swiss turning machines, collaborating with R&D and production planning to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Plan for changeovers and improve equipment flexibility. Engage in manual programming and transition to CAM using SolidWorks and other CAM software to bring designed products to completion. Manage tooling requirements, monitor production schedules, conduct regular inspections, and maintain a clean and safe environment. Conduct evaluations, manage policy adherence, and mentor, train, and coach associates.Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations of the production team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Oversee the operation of Swiss turning machines (Swiss lathes) of various makes and models in a high-speed production environment.
  • Lead Programmer for Swiss turning machines, collaborating with R&D and production planning to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Plan for changeovers and improve equipment flexibility by making components interchangeable in various machines.
  • Engage in manual programming and transition to CAM.
  • Use Solid Works and other CAM software to bring designed products to completion.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement CAM programming for improved efficiency in production processes.
  • Manage tooling requirements and ensure all necessary tools are available and maintained.
  • Monitor production schedules, adjusting workflows as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Conduct evaluations, periodic 1:1s, manage policy adherence, and related disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Mentor, train, and coach associates.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a factory or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of CAM programming, tooling, and fabrication processes.
  • Proficiency in using SolidWorks and other CAM software.
  • Familiarity with operating turning centers, CNC machines, Swiss Turning lathes, and other relevant machinery.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and indicators.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher and certifications as a machinist, CNC equipment, etc.
  • Experience with 3 Axis Swiss Lathe Machines.
  • Experience with multi-spindle machines and Swiss lathes.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
