  • Study work orders, sketches, drawings and blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances that need to be programed into CNC machines
  • Program CNC machines according to data derived from sketches and drawings
  • Load parts, operator controls, set offsets and handle simple edits to ensure that conformance standards are met
  • Model safety in work performance.
  • Detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes and adjust and reprogram controls to meet the varying needs of the fabrication process
  • Perform preventative and regular maintenance work on CNC machines and related tools
  • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting. Including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes. Adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing work tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
  • Communicate completed projects to supervisor
  • Develop continuous improvement ideas
  • Performs various support functions to assist supervisor

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Mechanical aptitude, ability to read blue prints and drawings
  • Basic computer programming skills and experience with computer-aided design and manufacturing programs
  • Experience with equipment, such as arc welding and plasma cutting.
  • Possess a professional, safe and cooperative work place demeanor.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Great analytical skills and oral communication skills.
  • Pass drug screen and Fit-for-Duty, clean background check.
  • Must work well with others.
