Synerfac is seeking a CNC Turret Punch Press Set-up Operator for our client in Newport News, VA. Our client is a leader in custom precision Sheetmetal manufacturing on the East Coast.Responsibilities:- Produce sheet metal parts by setting up and operating a CNC Punch Press- Perform machine setup including program retrieval and tooling setup- Start up and shut down machine- Basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of machine and work areas- Working with maintenance and repair technicians to diagnose equipment problems as needed- Continuously monitor machine cutting performance and efficiency and make adjustments as neededRead material tags & work orders, selecting correct materials- Produce the maximum number of parts in minimum time by working efficiently- Perform multiple setups per shift, for short runs and longer production runs- Knowledge of turret punch press tooling, how to change & maintain- Work from blueprints, rough sketches, and customer samples for prototype productionJob Requirements- 3+ years of CNC Turret Punch Press experience- Proficiency checking accuracy of work using blueprint and precision measuring tools such as calipersExperience with material loading automation- Must be able to edit G code- Be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
