Recycling Production CoachAccountabilities
- Attain forecasts and performance targets for each cost center/asset.
- Ensure Direct Costs and Monthly recaps are accurate.
- Create action items for weekly PDCA. Drive action through support services to ensure resources are available. Prioritize with manager.
- Develop recommendations to operations manager using analysis and support. Leverage current platforms (RIMAS, LP Reports.)
- Assist BI in automating all value-add reports to avoid duplicate work.
- Train teams on available margins for each commodity processed and develop priority schedules (weekly/daily/shift) to assist sales function.
- Mechanically inclined- ability to troubleshoot, lead preventative and predictive maintenance. Reduce non-scheduled downtime by 15%.

PADNOS Plastics Recycling is looking for a high level Operations Manager to safely and efficiently lead the Fremont, IN facility while maximizing our capacity and leveraging CI programs to ensure growth of profits and talent, in a sustainable manner. Outcomes and Measurements:Direct and coordinate daily operations of the manufacturing plant.
- Work with the Plant Manager to execute the three year Business Plan that will grow PPS sales over the course of that three years.
- Produce and deliver monthly forecasts that are > than 90% accurate.
- Coordinate with Sales and ensure 100% of orders are completed on time and on spec.
- Maintain a Sell vs Capacity Dashboard and provide updates as requested.
- Oversee and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Oversee all levels of staff activity and performance.
- Develop and execute a plan to create an exciting, high energy, can do, world class workplace.
- Build a bench of leaders with great coaching abilities within the first 9 months.
Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance performance.
- Embrace Lean Manufacturing. Train and implement a Lean culture in the facility.
- Ensure Daily Management boards are in place at all required locations and are being fully utilized to improve OEE.
- Reconstruct the Margin Folders and keep them current at all times. Work to automate this process.
Ensure company procedures are followed at all times.
- Embrace the PADNOS Safety culture.
- Ensure all on-boarding is completed in a manner that provide the best team member experience.
- Audit, improve and adhere to our Quality System.
- Develop and execute a plan to create a more diverse workforce.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management or related studies preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
- 5+ years supervisory experience.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of machine operation.
- Knowledge in metallurgy and/or paper grades in the grading of materials.
- Knowledge of OSHA and Safety compliance requirements.
- Professional assertive attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- A thorough understanding of MS Excel and MS Office is required.
