Job Description:

Since 1997, The Community Foundation of Pulaski County has worked to engage leaders and residents throughout the community for the purpose of inspiring generosity and enriching the lives of all those who live in, and visit, Pulaski County, IN.

We currently seek a part-time Coalition Coordinator to join our growing team! In this role, you will focus on directing the Quality Childhood Coalition of Pulaski County's mission of creating positive early childhood experiences through community collaboration. This is not a direct childcare opportunity, but rather a position that coordinates systems that provide real solutions and creates a community where quality early learning and childcare is accessible for all families.

What We Offer:

  • Pay: $15-$22/hour
  • Schedule: 12 hours/week with flexible scheduling

Responsibilities

  • Provides organization and staff leadership for the coalition.
  • Articulates and routinely communications the coalition's mission, vision goals, values and work to key stakeholders, donors, members, the early childcare education community and general public.
  • Builds relationships by convening and collaborating with stakeholders to advance measurable early learning key indicators in our county.
  • Nurtures the provider network by meeting with existing providers individually and in group settings to offer support, share information, learn what providers need and share with the coalition.
  • Creates and communicates advocacy messaging to build awareness around childcare needs.
  • Fundraises for early childhood initiatives and participates in fundraising solicitations with coalition and working group/team leaders.
  • Collaborates on a region and state level by participating with the Northeast Indiana Regional Early Childhood Coalition.
  • Identifies appropriate actions to move the mission forward.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree required.
  • Community development, grant writing and/or fundraising experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with technological skills and software including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational and a professional demeanor.
  • Passion for childcare advocacy and an understanding of unique perspectives including those of families, providers, non-profit/for-profit business, faith institutions and government partners.
