This team follows Agile and Scrum practices, creating technical designs, developing new programs, enhancing existing systems, and building unit tests and test cases. The role involves implementing changes within internal testing environments, coding, and addressing defects while adhering to rigorous standards. You\'ll contribute to the ongoing modernization of a mainframe healthcare claims processing system, with potential involvement in web API and cloud solutions.Responsibilities:Design, code, unit test, and debug enhancements for a healthcare claims processing system.Collaborate within an Agile development team.Execute complex development tasks.Provide technical solutions to diverse and challenging issues with general oversight.Participate in design activities and prepare unit tests.Apply expertise to improve software solutions and enhance documentation.Contribute to team strategies and technical documentation.Provide time/resource estimates and offer technical consultations.Qualifications:Bachelor\'s degree with 5-7 years of experience, master\'s degree with 3-5 years, Ph.D. with 0-2 years, or 9+ years in lieu of a degree.5+ years in mainframe development.Familiarity with mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, TSO, and VSAM.Experience with tools like IDz and GitHub.Strong background in mainframe software development and Agile/SCRUM methodologies.Ability to decompose business requirements and create solutions.Eligibility for Public Trust security clearance.Preferred:Experience with healthcare systems like Medicare Part A, Part B, or related files.Knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps practices.Advanced technical skills (e.g., Java, web services, UNIX).Exposure to Agile certification, AWS, or healthcare claims processing knowledge.Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
