Under the general direction and supervision of the Culinary/Hospitality Program Director, the Coffee Shop Manager for Course Grind Coffee, and the Executive Chef-Course Restaurant, this position will perform duties and various activities as needed within the coffee shop or restaurant as deemed necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Assists the Managers and or the Chef in necessary activities needed in the coffee shop/restaurant operations and educational program courses.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary facility as an example for the Culinary/Hospitality program students and guests.
* Keep all equipment clean and well-maintained.
* Wash and Sanitize: Washes and sanitizes dishes, cooking utensils, and food service equipment, practicing safe and sanitary methods. Replace equipment in the proper area.
* Make sure the coffee shop/restaurant/cafeteria is properly set up for service.
* Supporting and maintaining the standards of the Culinary/Hospitality program the Great Plains Culinary Institute and the Course Grind Coffee shop.
Minimum Qualifications
* High School Education or GED?
* Able to obtain Lancaster County food handlers permit by 1st day of hire and maintain permit
Desired Qualifications
* Experience working in coffee/latte or restaurant.
