Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the review of loan collateral documentation and perfection of collateral in order to reduce bank risk.

  • Review new commercial loan files to ensure the proper documentation is obtained to perfect the Bank's collateral
  • Collateral write-up for new loans and renewals for input to the system
  • Perfect and verify liens on collateral
  • Process requests for substitution of collateral and partial releases
  • Updates brokerage statements and appraisal information in the system
  • Researches and resolves lien perfection issues
  • Refer major loan violations to the supervisor for review
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or directed
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner
Qualifications

Education, Training and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree in business related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Overtime as required
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail as well as proven organizational and analytical skills
  • Able to prioritize and work effectively under time constraints
  • Must have strong PC skills including Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to consistently demonstrate the ompany's core values: integrity, excellence, teamwork, and humility

Experience:

  • Preference will be given to a candidate with at least two (2) years' experience in banking and knowledge of lending products and services; as well as working knowledge of the required documentation for all loan types
Other Job Information

Hours: 40 hours/week; Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00

Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
