Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent and empathetic Healthcare Collection Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail. This role involves managing patient accounts, resolving billing issues, and ensuring timely collections while maintaining a high level of customer service.

- Responsible to answer patient phone inquiries via phone system.
- Contact patients to discuss outstanding balances and arrange payment plans.
- Review and analyze patient accounts to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Process payments and update patient account information accurately.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to verify coverage and resolve claims issues.
- Provide patients with information regarding their bills, insurance coverage, and payment options.
- Maintain detailed records of collection activities and patient interactions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA and FDCPA.
- Work closely with the billing department to streamline processes and improve collections.
- Communicate with Collection agencies as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in private pay collections, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including electronic health records (EHR) and billing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance processes.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
