JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position operates sewer and catch basin cleaning equipment; inspects, maintains and repairs sanitary sewers CSOs, pump stations and storm water control structures; performs preventative maintenance on collection system; responds to emergency calls regarding collection system back-ups; assists Collection System Technician; collects flow data from CSOs and pump stations. Performs other related duties. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 2:45 pm, is part of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 4, with a starting hourly rate not to exceed $29.39.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum 1 year relevant work experience
* Must possess Grade 1 Collection Systems Certification or have the ability to obtain the Certification within one year of employment
* Must possess CDL-B License with Tank Endorsement
* Proficient in the use of personal computers and software necessary to complete the requirements of this position
* Must complete training for confined space entry, an eight hour Hazmat training, and first aid/CPR training
* High School diploma or certified equivalent; experience in lieu of education will be considered.
