Overview:VACO is looking for a motivated Collections Specialist in Erlanger, KY. The candidate must possess a strong work ethic and the ability to timely and effectively communicate with their colleagues and customers. They will be responsible for communicating directly with our customers to collect and resolve outstanding balances. This role requires high level customer service skills, attention to detail, patience, and diligence. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in either a Collections or Customer Service role (that required outbound and/or inbound phone and email communication).Responsibilities and Duties:Contact clients via both phone and email to collect outstanding receivables balancesTrack and monitor assigned accounts to identify past due invoicesInvestigate and resolve discrepanciesLocate and update telephone numbers and email address if not readily availableUpdate status of accounts in fulfillment system/database dailyReview and recommend accounts for bad debt write offs, 3rd party outsourcing and resolutionMinimum Requirements:Two years Collection and AR experience or Customer Service experienceCritical skills:Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, emphasis in Excel spreadsheetsWorking knowledge of Credit/Collection policies and practices
