- Work a large inventory of consumer apartment lease debts
- Achieve aggressive revenue goals
- Make or take not less than 200 calls a day
- Pursue declined payments effectively and vigorously
- Probe parties named on applications for location information
- Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans
- Handle questions or complaints
- Identify accounts which require reinvestigation
- Update account status on a sophisticated consumer management software system
- Adhere to a strict schedule with a minimum of alteration
- Function as a member of a team
Skills
- Proven experience as Debt Collector preferred
- Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
- Ability to embrace change
- Basic computer and phone skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Apt in negotiating and persuading
- Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence
- High school diploma is preferred
- Compliance with all state and federal laws, doctrines, and regulations governing debt collection
Requirements
- Able to pass a background check
- Dependable transportation: we are not directly accessible by MARTA
- Available to work 40 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
