Simpson College welcomes candidates for this full-time 10-month (August - May) and one day per week (June and July) position as the College Hall Administrative Assistant working with the Offices of Admissions and Financial Aid. Principal duties will include managing daily visits for prospective students and current student traffic in College Hall while developing extensive knowledge in administrative tasks to assist in the day-to-day operations in admissions and financial aid. This position will help to ensure a seamless campus visit experience while supporting the offices with daily functions.
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
* Ability to provide a positive first impression and welcoming campus visit experience.
* Ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external constituents requiring excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Accuracy is extremely important.
* Ability to use judgement within a framework when analyzing facts and solving problems.
* Willingness to quickly embrace new technologies and procedures and proactively apply their knowledge.
* Willingness to cross-train with other members of the team.
* An associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
* The successful candidate will have the ability to work as a team member as well as independently.
