This position is for a Systems Engineer in either Aurora, CO or King of Prussia, PA. We welcome applicants of all experience levels as we have multiple roles to fill! You will be working closely with a talented team of system and software engineers to enable the creation of the Cerebro Satellite Communication Capabilities. Salary Information

The annual salary range for this role is $100,000 to $180,000. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline only. Stratagem considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate is a System Engineer who is mission focused and passionate about system architecture, design, specification, evaluation, integration, test, and adaptation. This candidate will be joining our team of distributed engineers to help shape the architecture and requirements of custom applications and advanced R&D solutions for our customers. This candidate will be working in a multi-discipled agile team alongside developers, UX specialists, testers, and other needed roles.

As System Engineer in this role, your responsibilities include:

• Supporting the development, implementation, and verification of mission capabilities
• Design and develop satellite complex communication systems, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-program teams, to integrate program needs into a base product offering that can be utilized across portfolios
• Conduct feasibility studies and performance analysis to ensure system operations is in alignments with design requirements
• Evaluate and select appropriate communication protocols and technologies for satellite systems that enable a “plug-able” product in nature
• Assist the software engineering team with troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the development and testing phases
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in satellite communication technology and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Developing automated test procedures to formally verify system functionality
• Decomposing system requirements and collaborating with multi-disciplined, distributed teams to generate efficient and scalable solutions

Required Skills

• Effective cross-organizational communicator with the ability to work well in a small team, fast paced environment
• Ability to develop implementation agnostic requirements and/or create requirements for a new system
• Ability to develop test procedures (automatic and manual) that verify requirements
• Ability to develop tracings between requirements, code, and verification
• Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology

Desired Skills (bonus points)

• You are the proud owner of an active TS/SCI clearance with SSBI

• Experience with commercial and/or government satellite communication system design
• Experience with satellite mission planning and C2 activities
• Experience in working with software-defined interfaces that use either XML or JSON to both document and implement
• Experience with systems that have many externals who migrate to operations on asynchronous schedules and are on different versions of a standard interface
• Experience with SATCOM or GEOINT systems
• Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
• Knowledge and experience with Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) software products
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and engage with virtual teams
• Demonstrated business acumen and ability to balance technical requirements with business needs
• Familiarity with Cloud Architectures and deployment requirements for US DoD
• Experience in the operational deployment of multi-product baselines and functionality
