Job Description:

The Commercial & Technology Paralegal will support Fluke s growth and innovation in an industry that is evolving from traditional hardware-based products to software and AI-enabled workflow solutions and services. As a critical member of the commercial law team, you will partner with business teams to optimize and streamline commercial transactional agreements. You also will have the opportunity to lead or assist in a variety of other legal matters depending on your strengths, interests, and skills. This position is based in the Seattle area, but we will consider remote candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales, vendor, and other business contracts in all phases of the contract management lifecycle, including RFP review, contract drafting, review, and negotiation. Your scope of work will encompass all types of sales contracts including hardware, services, licensing, and promotions. Software and SaaS experience required.

  • Support other commercial arrangements including reseller and referral agreements.

  • Create and maintain contracting templates.

  • Assist with continuously improving sales/procurement contracting processes and strategies.

  • Partner with the Fluke sales teams on commercial policies and initiatives.

  • Support legal operations through thoughtful application of the Fortive Business System and Lean methodology in: driving continuous legal process and standard work, improvement and sustainment, and managing/supporting legal and compliance readiness projects as assigned

  • M&A activities such as post-closing integration by contributing to legal training needs and initiatives and performing general and legal research and reporting

  • Enhance your skills by providing cross-functional support on other legal matters such as litigation and pre-litigation management and data privacy issues.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant years of legal experience in the above identified areas

  • Software and SaaS experience, including experience with data processing agreements ( DPAs ).

  • Promotional activities such as sweepstakes, trade-in, and discount programs, distributor and sales rep laws, and AI/ML and automation or CLM/workflow efficiency tools. Paralegal certification also a big plus.

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

The salary range for this position (inclusive of sales incentives/commission) is $67,700.00 - $125,900.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
