Town and Country Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Banking Officer to develop new business and service an existing portfolio of commercial loans in central Illinois. This position requires a growing level of career experience that reflects a comfort in commercial banking services, including commercial lending, deposits, investments, cash management and trust.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
* Achieves sales and relationship goals by growing the size and profitability of his/her commercial relationships.
* Manages, supervises, and grows individual loan and commercial deposit portfolios. Develops and maintains existing customer base and builds customer satisfaction and confidence in the Bank.
* Maintains and Initiates contact with potential commercial accounts and solicits their relationship. Interviews applicants to develop information concerning their business, needs, desires, abilities and earnings to determine whether a loan may be an acceptable risk. Gives financial advice and counsel to customers and prospective customers.
* Manages existing commercial accounts, maintains relationships, cross-sells relevant bank products and services and solicits referrals for new commercial relationships.
* Collects and maintains client portfolio information. Analyzes, underwrites, approves/disapproves, negotiates terms and conditions, prepares credit proposals, recommends documentation and disbursement instructions for new and renewed loan requests.
* Maintains the integrity and quality of the loan portfolio. Performs collections, negotiates work-outs and refers accounts to collection as required. Keeps informed as to the status of loans within his/her portfolio and monitors them for compliance with terms. Monitors the performance of the borrower during the relationship, including payments, financial statements, tax returns, insurance etc.
* Ensures that information gathering, decision making, and loan monitoring are in compliance with all regulations. Has the ultimate responsibility for the maintenance and content of his/her credit files.
* Maintains a presence and promotes the Bank within the community. Serves on municipal committees and boards, as well as Boards of Directors of civic groups or private enterprises.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum of five years of commercial lending experience
* Good banking knowledge related to job duties and regulatory environment. Knowledge should be based on working experience and training.
* Proficient in relationship sales tactics
EDUCATION:
* Bachelors degree or above in an appropriate field of study
* Commercial Credit Training
