We are seeking a Litigation Claims Adjuster to evaluate complex property and casualty insurance claims and determine coverage, liability, and damages. The Litigation Claims Adjuster will investigate, analyze, and settle claims in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance while abiding by the Reservation of Rights.Key Responsibilities:
- Review and investigate insurance claims and liability, and determine coverage and damages.
- Adjusting claims in relation to construction, construction defect, builders risk, and commercial property.
- Negotiate and settle claim settlements in a timely manner.
- Provide effective communication to claimants, witnesses, attorneys, representatives, and other parties involved.
- Document and maintain detailed claims records.
- Prepare and review claims reports and documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Review contracts and policies to determine coverage, risk, and liability.
- Review construction, property & casualty, and analyze site details.
- Utilize paralegal, technical writing, and carrier insurance adjusting skills to review and process claims.
- Review architecture and engineering claims to determine coverage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required and/or Juris Doctor preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in litigation claims adjusting.
- Knowledge of construction and commercial property insurance policies.
- Proficiency in communication and technical writing.
- Ability to assess liability and damages and to negotiate settlements.
- Excellent active listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of Third Party Administrator (TPA) and/or Carrier Insurance Adjusting procedures.
